Day 7 – We are Done!

Dateline: Saturday, July 26, Guttenberg

We got our earliest start of the week today, leaving camp by around 6:15. It was a beautiful morning and this day’s route was extra special, as it traversed the rolling hills and deep river valleys of the northeastern corner of Iowa. We had to start early because some Nitwits were shipping their bikes out from Guttenberg, with a deadline of 2:30, and our LCC charter bus was scheduled to leave town at 3:30. We made it with a few minutes to spare, and even had time to assemble our entire group at the river overlook on the hillside a few miles before the end of the ride.
