About

2017 Update: This blog was created in 2014 for our first RAGBRAI.  Three years later, this is our second. Same blog, mostly the same people, shorter team name (“Nitwits”) because we’re older and have fewer functioning brain cells to remember things with. All the old content is below and elsewhere on the site, and with any luck we’ll add more during this year’s ride.

OK, in case you don’t recognize it – I adopted the page names of this blog from A.A. Milne’s And Now We are Six. Except of course, we are not: we ride for 7 days and there are 7 of us making up Team Nitwitticisms. 7 is quite an important number but I didn’t really know what to do with it and certainly didn’t want to follow the theme from the movie, Seven!

So here’s the poem in case you don’t know it.

Now We Are Six

When I was one, I had just begun.
When I was two, I was nearly new.
When I was three, I was hardly me.
When I was four, I was not much more.
When I was five, I was just alive.
But now I am six, I’m as clever as clever.
So I think I’ll be six now and forever.

Six + One [minus Two] = Team NitWitticisms!
